I recently took my 2014 Jeep Wrangler to a shop to have a headliner installed. Upon picking it up, I noticed that the anti-glare coating on the navigation touch screen was peeling. It looks to me like cleaner has gotten onto the touch screen and damaged the protective coating.

The shop owner claims that this is from normal wear and will not accept responsibility for the damage. Does anyone have experience with cleaners causing damage to vehicle navigation systems?
