Parts Required
Two Genies labeled LD, and DS
Wire connector that you will use to connect the sensor
Temperature Sensor
Security bypass if you are an 18+ year
Installation
Attach the sensor wire to the open molenex connector on the harness that is running to the HVAC. You should see the connection there as it will be unused, and is right near the HVAC. Once you have the sensor connected you are going to route it to the drivers side, and place it under the dash bezel there. I will try to get a video explaining this, so it is easier to follow.
Sensor Installation Location
You will want to run the genie labeled LD first, and once you get a green light from that let the vehicle rest for a few minutes. Wait until you see and dual-zone configuration (indicating the first genie finished programming) then use the second genie. You will run the DS programmer second, and once you get the green light with that you can go ahead, and let the vehicle sleep as your issue should now be fixed.
With certain 2018 + Vehicles you will need to use our security bypass module to properly program the vehicle using our OBD Genie. You will connect our security bypass to the existing security module in your vehicle by taking the two wires out of the factory installed security module, and connecting them into our security bypass. Once our bypass is installed you can than run the OBD Genie. Once you get a green light from the genie you can take our bypass off, and connect the wires back into the factory security module. The vehicle will have programmed successfully, and you can now enjoy your new upgrade!
