Convenience & Comfort settings missing after IO6 upgrade

If these settings are missing, you simply have to allow the vehicle to sleep for up to 48 accumulative hours.

If these doesn't work, do the following:


Try each of these steps in order. If one fixes your issue, you don't have to move to the next step. And if, for any reason, taking all these steps don't resolve your issue, there may be a physical issue with the unit, so please call us back.

1. Key Cycles:

  • Turn off your vehicle and remove the key. If you have a push start make sure you turn off your ignition.
  • Open the driver door to make sure that the radio turns off completely.
  • Close the car door and wait until all the lights from your dash and cluster turns off.
  • Wait for 10-15 seconds
  • Start the car
  • Test the unit.

*You may have to perform up to 6 Key Cycles before you see changes.

2. Master Reset:

Go to the Settings and you should see Reset to Factory Defaults/Factory Data Reset, press this option.

(If you do not see this press Help first)

3. CAN-bus Reset:

  • Remove positive and negative cables from the vehicle battery.
  • Touch and hold the cables together for  5 - 10 seconds.
  • (if you have a diesel, disconnect both batteries, then do one battery at a time)
  • (If you have ESS on a newer vehicle ONLY disconnect the negative don't touch them together as you will also have a second battery)
  • Let the vehicle sit for 10 minutes.
  • Reconnect terminals.
  • With all doors closed, lock the vehicle and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Start vehicle with the door open.
  • Let vehicle run for 5 minutes.

4. Unplug then replug all connectors behind the radio and let the vehicle sleep for a few hours.
