Frequent Weather Alerts

Frequent Weather Alerts

You may notice weather alerts popping up on the radio during driving. This is a feature within Sirius Travel Link and, according to Sirius and Fiat-Chrysler, cannot be disabled. Currently the only way to disable these messages is to cancel your Sirius Travel Link trial or regular subscription, or remove the yellow antenna connector from the back of the radio. Be aware that if you purchased the UAQ navigation-enabled radio, you will lose the ability to navigate as the yellow antenna is a dual GPS/Sirius XM antenna. Perhaps in the future there will be an update to disable this feature, but as the federal government mandates that the radio be able to receive weather alerts, it is also possible that this will be an issue you may have to live with on the radio.
