If you're having issues with either Siri (carplay) or Google Voice (AA) acting sluggish or slow to respond to your command, check your mobile network connection. 

Verify how many bars you see on your phone while parked and see if you can call out. 

Android Auto and Carplay piggy back off of your cellular device and provide it internet connect, so if you're not getting a network connection on your device, you will not get it on your infotainment system.
