Sync 1 Clarion Radio - Speakers Popping after Vehicle Power Down

Sync 1 Clarion Radio - Speakers Popping after Vehicle Power Down

The Brick Kit that is included with the Sync 1 radio has an amplifier and a harness for the amplifier. There have been reports that there is a popping noise after the vehicle powers down, and seems to occur about 5 seconds after the vehicle is turned off. We are currently working on a solution to remove the popping entirely, but here are two procedures that can be performed to decrease the volume of the popping sound drastically.

The first is to check and make sure that the two GAIN dials on the amplifier  is turned down to almost the minimum level. You can turn these down using a flat head screwdriver.

The second procedure is to make sure that the amplifier's dip switch #6 is not in the RCA position. Make sure that the dipswitch is in the SPEAKER position. There may be a rubber liner covering the dip switches, so that will need to be temporarily removed.
