The UBD can experience a few issues when retrofitted.
If the customer is experiencing a temperature reading issue for the slider bars, temperature snapping to max heat/cool, camera issues, possibly no climate menu (called comfort) then the radio might need to be checked for the current build number.
If the Build number says .255 in the version, then this radio needs to be exchanged for a 2022 part number that should have 145-160 as the build number version. The 2023-2024 that have the .255 tend to refuse to acclimate in 2013-2018 RAM's and 2019+ RAM Classics.
If the software version is at the 145-160 version, then the Genie Max may not doing what it's programmed to do, and needs to be exchanged. Please read the below to make sure the dip switches on the Genie Max are in the right positions.
1. Ensure that the modified C5T (U-INTC5T) harness is fully plugged into the back of the UBD Radio connections and also fully seated onto the 6 pin connector of the Genie Max Module.
2. With the vehicle running, take the Genie Module and open it by pressing onto both sides of the module - when you get the Genie Max module open, ensure that the red light on the main board of the Genie Max is turning on:
3. Ensure that the dip switches are on the appropriate direction
Dip Switch # = Position
1 = ON
2 = ON
3 = OFF
4 = ON
5 = OFF
6 = ON
7 = ON
8 = ON
Genie Max 3.1V
1) We're probably going to have these pre-programmed for Cargo Camera, so if the customer does not have cargo camera, they just won't click the toggle. But at any point they could upgrade to a cargo camera and not need programming for it to work.
2) The touch arrows for the temperature controls. If you rapidly tap up or down, it might snap to max cool or max heat. So the customer needs to use the slider bars to click and drag, or they can use the hard buttons. But rapidly clicking the arrow may be glitchy.
